Departure ATX

In the Summer of 2024, Kimbery joined this Texas-sized tribute band dedicated to the music of Journey and other favorite artists of the Arena Rock era.  Since it's debut in 2015, the Austin TX-based band has gained a  wide and loyal fan base and now regularly travels throughout the state, performing on large stages in big cities and iconic, smaller venues.

DepartureATX puts on a high energy rock show, the way it was intended. Each member of the band holds an impressive musical resume, from being classically trained to opening for major talent. It's no surprise then, that when performing Journey hits, DepartureATX is known for attention to detail, but also for adding individual elements of live musical intensity. Audiences will hear not only the best Journey tribute band, but also other favorite songs from the Arena Rock era's biggest names to round off a truly unforgettable, live music experience.
